First, the basic characteristics of organic silicone

Organic silicone is a polymer compound that has similar properties to rubber and plastics and is also known as silicone rubber. Compared with traditional rubber and plastics, organic silica gel has better thermal stability, wear resistance and oxidation resistance, so it is widely used in industrial, medical and life fields. The hardness of organic silica gel depends on the proportion of organic and silicon groups in its molecular chain, and the hardness of different proportions of organic silica gel is also different. In general, the hardness range of organic silica gel is from extremely soft to hard, which can be classified according to the international hardness scale, such as the hardness of organic silica gel between 10 and 20 is softer, and the hardness of organic silica gel between 50 and 70 is relatively hard.

Silicone hardness test results are shown in the chart. As can be seen from the chart information, under the condition of 1.8mm displacement under uniform pressure, the hardness of sample A is the smallest, the hardness of sample B is the middle, and the hardness of sample C is the largest. It can be seen from the statistical results in the table that the standard deviation Std and coefficient of variation Cv of the sample are small, indicating that the repeatability and stability of the experiment are good. During the test, samples A and B showed no abnormality at the lower pressure of 1.8mm, but some cracks appeared in sample C during the lower pressure of 1.8mm, resulting in sample rupture. The specific cause analysis should be combined with other index data for comprehensive analysis.


In this experiment, TA.XTC-18 can effectively detect the hardness of silicone and provide a strong guarantee for evaluating the performance of silicone. The experimental data is consistent with the sample parameter specifications, and the standard deviation and coefficient of variation in statistical analysis are small, which proves its high sensitivity, high precision and high stability in the field of material analysis, and will provide reliable technical support for the current chemical industry, scientific research market, especially the research and development and production of material products.
